AVALANCHE is one of two major organizations that current oppose ShinRa. Founded in Cosmos Canyon, this group of eco-terrorists believe that ShinRa is disrupting and destroying the planet with the use of mako reactors, advanced pieces of technology that draw directly from the lifestream to grant the world electrical energy.
AVALANCHE is mostly loved by the Slums and known as those that will stand for the people. To the Upper Plate, they are a menace; spending their time trying to ruin the lives of those that are fortunate enough to have access to the areas. To ShinRa, however, they portray themselves as shadows. Striking randomly, but with such certainty that nobody opposes them. Living in the shadows to strike when the Paramilitary least expect it.
Led by Elfe (Spa Wind), Sears (Greg Stella) and Fuhito (Ivellios Wiefel), along with the other leaders, commanders and so on, they continue their fight against those that would seek to destroy the planet.
