SOLDIER
SOLDIER is the result of experimentation with mako upon human beings, however not many can survive the process necessary to becoming a SOLDIER. Only men with steeled determination and peek health are even considered for SOLDIER as the resolve for sticking to the job is more than just stressful.
Created to wage war in the name of Shin-Ra, SOLDIER make it its policy to never negotiate, unable to be persuaded these men live only for fighting, recognising that their lives are always on the line. Currently SOLDIER is engaged with war in Wutai, although their primary focus is taking out monsters, or used for tasks in warfare that the Turks or MPs are unable to handle.
The life of a SOLDIER is tough, knowing that if you fail even the company could choose to dispose of you, its competitive environment is enough to drive a man insane, but the bonds it creates within its ranks is a form of the strongest comradery.
All SOLDIERS are expected to hold themselves with composure, perhaps giving them an aloof or high-horsed reputation. The one rule SOLDIER stands firm on is that failure is not an option.
If you wish to join this faction I would like to fully remind you that it is a strict organisation that could have your life taken at any moment. All players within our faction are fully aware of these circumstances. Drama will not be tolerated.
To be considered for SOLDIER you have to have a good RP background, no physical ailments of any kind, even 20/20 vision is a -must-. Your character has to be at the peak of his/her mental and physical condition, able to take orders and think on their feet. SOLDIER’s are not just brutes, tactical intelligence is important.
Joining SOLDIER is a process anyone can enrol in. You have to be a member of the paramilitary and have a rank above cadet within the faction to enrol in the SOLDIER examination process. Your character will undergo a series of tests and trials and if successful be allowed into the faction as a recruit. The atmosphere can get incredibly competitive, and although it’s up to you how well you do, getting into this faction is no easy feat by any means.
Your recruit will be watched over a period of 1-2 months, and may even be placed back within the MP’s if they are not successful. You’re welcome to try out again for SOLDIER, but keep in mind that the faction bolsters its ‘best of the best’ mentality. If you fail to many times you’ll no longer be eligible for the faction.
All SOLDIERs are expected to keep up the work once within the faction, the pressure is always there. All members are aware that being fired from this faction means their character will be killed, and if not hunted down, most certainly making the character unplayable. Once your character leaves the faction, if they are engaged in combat and lose, that character is dead, no matter what.
